Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women. Yet, the good news is that there are things that you can do to lower your risk of breast cancer. Here are 4 simple tips to have the best breast health possible, no matter what age you are. Prevention is always better than cure, and it’s never too late to make changes for the better, isn’t?

#1 Adopt an active lifestyle

Make time for regular exercise no matter how busy life gets. There have been studies suggesting that women who exercise on a regular basis have a lower risk of developing breast cancer. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise at least five days out of the week. What’s more, exercising to maintain a healthy body weight also play a role in the health of your breasts, as obesity increases the risk of breast cancer.

#2 Maintain a healthy diet

Stick to a healthy eating habit for a lower risk of cancer. Make sure you eat more vegetables that are high in antioxidants to help fight against cancer, such as broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, kale, carrots and tomatoes. Fruits should also be implemented in your everyday diet to keep yourself healthy. Also, be sure to avoid alcohol and smoking. The more you drink and smoke, the greater the risk.
