When you go to bed with clean skin, the least thing you want is to wake up with your skin breakout. Yet, you cannot change the fact of the acne pop up. The only thing you can do is to reduce redness from acne as much as possible. Instead of applying concealer on it, what else you can do? Here are a few ways that help you to reduce redness from acne in a natural way.

1. Apply ice on it with treatment

To reduce redness, you may start with ice tube. The cold would help to reduce redness and swelling from the acne.  You may apply ice tube on your acne directly or wrap it with a cotton cloth, leave it on your skin around 10-15 minutes. Then, put on anti-inflammation treatment on it. Bear in mind that not to touch your skin too often as your hands are full of gems that would cause irritation.


2. Introduce anti-inflammatory diet

Redness from acne is due to trauma to the skin cells caused by aggressively picking at blemishes. Prevent your skin to get inflammation can help you to reduce redness. Eating anti-inflammatory diet is one of the ways that help, you can simply avoid foods that cause inflammation, such as coffee, chocolate, sugar, chili, and alcohol. As a result, you will have clearer skin.


3. Wear sunscreen

If you do not have a habit on wearing sunscreen daily, you have to do it when you are having acne. Do not underestimate the function of sunscreen and the harm from sun ray. Wearing sunscreen can help quicken the healing and fading process. If the affected skin is exposed to daylight, the UV rays stimulate the melanin cells. So, wearing sunscreen can make the acne lighter.


4. Apply post breakout treatment

Applying spot treatment can help you to lighten and fade the red, dark and purple spots left behind from blemishes on the skin.
