It’s nearly summer! Time to stop staring at that belly fat and get going! These workout ideas are easy to try at home and don’t require special equipment. Give them a go for a fitter, better you.

1) Skip Rope

You did this in primary school, but it’s actually a great exercise for everyone! It doesn’t require a lot of space to do, just enough for your rope and you. Even 30 minutes a day can make a difference.


2) Climb Some Steps

But you don’t need actual stairs or a fancy stepping machine! Pile up some thick books or get a short stool and shape your lower body by stepping while you watch TV.


3) Try Some Planks

Planks are the latest workout trend that helps train your core muscles. To start, lie on your stomach on the floor. Push up and form a straight line from your head and shoulders, down to your abdomen, hips and legs. Contract your abs and hips, and keep breathing slowly. 4) Do Star Jumps (Jumping Jacks)

Don’t underestimate the effects of this simple exercise. It’s an easy and effective aerobic staple that stretches and contracts your shoulders, arms and legs. In other words, you’re boosting up your muscles! And by accelerating your heart rate, it also helps you burn fat!


5) Get into Squats

Squats are an easy exercise for beginners. It’s a compound, full body exercise that trains your thighs, hips and hamstrings. Doing squats help strengthen the bones, ligaments and joints throughout the lower body, and shapes your waistline!


6) Housework

Wait, come back! Clearing out your wardrobe between seasons can be exhausting, but it’s great exercise! Find your spaghetti strap tops and get ready to look great in them!
